Kathy Quandt, Controller

Kathy Quandt is the Controller at Oxbow Industries, where she leads all financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and compliance. With over 25 years of expertise in accounting and finance, Kathy is recognized for her unwavering commitment to financial accuracy, integrity, strategic problem-solving, and fostering collaboration across teams to drive organizational success.

Before joining Oxbow Industries, Kathy held several key leadership roles. As Controller at GT Biopharma, she improved financial processes and reporting, significantly improving financial operations and accuracy. At the University of Minesota, as Director of Clinical Trial Financial Services, she led her team in optimizing financial management for hundreds of business-and-industry sponsored clinical trials, ensuring sound budgets and accurate financial reporting. Kathy’s career also includes impactful financial and leadership roles at Allianz Life of North America and Ameriprise Financial. One of her most fulfilling roles was leading the Ameriprise Finance and Leader Development Program, where she recruited and mentored emerging finance professionals, helping shape the next generation of leaders.

Kathy holds an MBA from the University of Minnesota and a BA in Accounting from the University of St. Thomas. She also holds a CPA designation (inactive), reflecting her technical expertise and professional integrity.

Outside of work, Kathy enjoys golfing and spending time with her friends and family.
